And Finished!
On Saturday night (7/3), we stayed at a campground because there weren't any free spots near Glacier National Park in Montana. In the morning, we stopped at the St Mary's visitors center and drove through the park on Going To The Sun Road, the main road. It was very narrow and wound through the mountains. On the way west, we mostly scoped things out and took in our surroundings. A few of the hikes we had planned on doing had full parking lots, so we did a different one on the way back east just before leaving the park. It was about 4.3 miles round trip along St. Mary Lake; we saw Baring Falls and St Mary Falls. I was shocked at how many trails were rated very difficult. Many were over 7-8 miles and thousands of feet of elevation change, climbing entire mountains. It was a very beautiful park, and I'm glad that we were able to get tickets.

On our way back to the UP, we had two more quick parks. Theodore Roosevelt National Park is mostly a monument to the former president who pushed for the creation of many national parks and forests. One cool thing this park has is feral horses. We luckily saw a herd of about 5 in the distance. It was similar to the rest of North Dakota which we drove straight across for the rest of the day.

Last but not least, Voyagers National Park is in northern Minnesota, right on the border with Canada. We didn't do much here because the park is best for kayaking and other water activities because it's mostly lake. It was overcast and raining too. That was okay though, we were ready to keep driving back.

Around 9:30pm on July 6th, we arrived safely at Teal's house in Baraga, MI. This has been an amazing trip, and I'm so glad that we were able to do it.
