Week 0 - Prep
After I got downstate from college, the van prep started. First, I took out the back and middle rows of seats. The middle seats normally would fold into the floor, so that leaves me plenty of storage space.

I built the frame out of 2x4's and one 3ft 2x6 for support in the middle. The shiny material is Reflectix, an insulation similar to bubble wrap. I cut that to the size of the windows to block the light at night, the heat in the desert, and the cold in the mountains. The bedtop is a sheet of plywood cut into sections to allow the bed to fold into a sofa. In the sofa position, I can sit comfortably facing backwards or forwards. I was up north riding three-wheeler this weekend, so Dad sewed the cases for the cushions. The filling for the cushions was a full-sized foam mattress that was cut into sections.
